The Cigars Wall

At Smokey Paradise Arlington, the cigar section has its own wall under a green neon Cigars sign, and it is packed. Cigarillos in single packs and boxes, flavored and natural, sit at eye level. Wraps, papers and cones fill the shelves around them, so everything you need for a smoke is in one place.

Cigarillos are one of our steadiest sellers, and the late hours are a big part of that. We are open until midnight every night, so if you are heading out or settling in for the evening and realize you are out, we are still open with the lights on.

All tobacco products are sold to adults 21 and up only, with a valid ID checked on every visit.

Keeping Cigars Fresh

Cigars dry out fast in a Texas summer, and a dry cigar burns hot and harsh. If you buy more than you will smoke in a day or two, keep them in a sealed bag or a small humidor away from direct sun and out of a hot car. Cigarillos in sealed foil packs hold up longer, but once the pack is open, smoke them within a few days.

If you are buying a box for a party or a celebration, let us know when you plan to smoke them. We can tell you which ones hold up best and how to store them until then.

Accessories at the Counter

Cutters, lighters, ashtrays and cases are in the glass at the counter. If you are new to cigars, a straight cutter and a soft flame lighter are all you need to start; we can show you how to cut a cap cleanly so the cigar draws well.

Rolling trays, grinders and storage jars are on the accessory shelves near the glass cases, and hookah coals and shisha are in the hookah lane.

Find Us

The Arlington shop is at 1101 E Bardin Rd Ste 121, a minute off I-20 at the Collins Street exit, open every day from 8 AM to 12 AM. The Farmers Branch shop is on Josey Lane just north of LBJ Freeway; its hours will be posted as soon as they are set.

Smoking cigars and cigarillos is not a safe alternative to cigarettes. Keep all tobacco products away from children and pets.

Picking a Cigarillo

With this many options on the wall, a few questions help.

Flavored or Natural?

Flavored cigarillos carry a sweet or fruity tip and wrapper. Natural leaf versions taste like tobacco and nothing else.

Size

Some smoke in a few minutes, others last much longer. Ask for the size that fits how long you want to sit.

Tip or No Tip

Plastic or wood tips change the draw and keep the end dry. It is a personal preference.

Single or Box

Try a single pack of something new, then buy a box when you find a favorite.

A Short Guide for New Cigar Smokers

If you are buying your first cigar, start with something mild and medium in size. Cut only the very tip of the cap, enough to open it without unraveling the wrapper. Toast the foot evenly with a soft flame before you draw, and take slow puffs; cigar smoke is not meant to be inhaled.

Let the ash build a little before you tap it off, and do not stub a cigar out. Set it down and it will go out on its own. If it goes out halfway through, gently knock off the ash and relight it.

Our staff are happy to recommend a first cigar based on what you want to spend and what kind of flavor you like. Just ask at the counter.

Papers, Cones and Rolling Supplies

Next to the cigars and cigarillos, the wall holds rolling papers in every size and material, from thin rice papers to classic wood pulp, plus pre-rolled cones, tips, filters and rolling trays. If you roll your own tobacco, ask about the rolling machines and cone fillers in the case.

Cigars Near Arlington and North Dallas County

The cigar wall in our Arlington shop is the larger of the two, and it is open later than most: until midnight, every night. It is about fifteen minutes from downtown Arlington, fourteen from Kennedale and twenty from Mansfield. On the north side, the Josey Lane shop in Farmers Branch covers Carrollton and northwest Dallas.
